About three weeks ago, I took my last riding lesson for the summer.
The name of the horse that I am riding is Pic (but his full name is Picasso's Encore)(weird).

Proverbs 2:1-6

Proverbs 2:1-6
1
My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you,

2 turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding,

3 and if you call out for insight
and cry aloud for understanding,

4 and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,

5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD
and find the knowledge of God.

6 For the LORD gives wisdom,
and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Foal!

On Monday, April 6th, one of the pregnant mares at the place where I take riding lessons had her foal!

His barn name is K'chow (from the movie Cars) and his show name is Gift Wrapped.

Here he is trying some hay.

Got an itch?
Scratch it!

Diana (K'cow's mom) liked the camera's bright lights so she kept getting in the way.

K'nex Roller Coaster

A few weeks ago, Jacob and I finished this roller coaster. The belt, used to pull the cars up is connected to a small motor. It also has a sound system that makes it sound like a real roller coaster with screaming people on it!

Spring is coming!

Here are some of the many signs that Spring weather is almost here.

Buds on the Lilac bush are starting to pop up.

We see more and more birds each day.

Spotting Sasquatch

While I was walking out in the Field behind our house, Mammaw took a picture of me that made me look like Sasquatch!

Psalms 78:15-16

Psalms 78:15-16
15
He split the rocks in the wilderness,
And gave them drink in abundance like the depths.
16 He also brought streams out of the rock,
And caused waters to run down like rivers.

St Patricks Day

Today Mom made a St Patricks Day breakfast for us, using pancakes and waffles, she made a large shamrock on our plates. (I didn't think about a taking a picture until we ate it all)

After lunch, Mom made these chocolate and pretzel shamrocks. They were quite yummy!

A Suprise from Mammaw

Every once in a while after we let Amy outside, we will just happen to glance out the window and see her wearing these funny outfits . This time she was wearing this. Mammaw said that she had to come all the way down to the pine trees to catch Amy, because Amy thought it was to cold to bother coming over to Mammaw.
Just before Christmas, Mammaw dressed Amy up in a red cape with a little green stocking for decoration.
And on Wednesday Amy came back with a heart sticker stuck to her forehead.

Finger Print Fun

Over the last few days I have been very busy making finger print cards to send to people. This card is definitely my favorite.

Here are some other ones that I have made. Double click on the picture to get a closer look.

Formal Picture Fun

Lately I've been having fun by taking formal pictures of my stuffed animals.

It is pretty fun trying to see what each of them would look the best with.

That book that my Clydesdale seems to be advertising is a poem book called Flower Fairies of the Winter. Mom really likes it but Jacob and I don't care for it.

Roasting Alive

We recently had a chimney put up, and a wood stove put in. We have had the windows open a lot and haven't needed the oil furnace at all. Right now I am in a T-shirt and shorts in the basement sweating! Oh well, at least we are getting plenty of exercise chopping wood.

The Science Factory

About two weeks ago, we took a field trip to The Science Factory. They had a bunch of hands-on FUN activities. Here are just a few:

Here, we poured sand into a funnel that was hanging on a string. Then we swung it in any direction to watch it make a design. There were two different funnels. This one was hanging on two strings at the top and the other one was only attached to one string.

This one was one of my favorites. There were two little plastic men attached to miniature parachutes which we stuffed into a hole in the side of a huge tube. It fired them up through the tube into the air and came floating down to the ground.

Here, Jacob is building a dragster out of k'nex. They give you instructions so that even I could build one.

My dragster won the whole time because Mom's and Jacob's engines were broken.

This was my FAVORITE. We had to try build a dam out of metal blocks. After a while the water pressure built so much that it pushed the blocks out of its way!
